What is State Convention?

State Convention is an annual event in which JCL members from across the state gather to have fun and meet new people. At convention, there are academic tests, academic competitions, and athletic competitions. Among the most popular events are fugepilam (dodgeball) and quidditch. The location of convention alternates between the Northern and Southern California.

Convention lasts two days, Friday and Saturday. Friday is typically registration and testing, while the bulk of the events occur on Saturday. Following all of the activities is banquet.

The first State Convention was hosted in 1955 and has been hosted annually since 1957.

The 2018 State Convention will be held from  April 13th - April 14th at Menlo High School in Atherton, CA.
