CAJCL Convention is a two day event, held in the spring, at which CAJCL members come together from across the state to compete in academics, the arts, and athletics as well as take part in engaging social activities.

CAJCL Convention is an annual event held in the spring, at which CAJCL members can participate in a variety of activities and the following contests:
Academic Contests - Academic Tests (Ancient Geography; Classical Art; Daily Life; Grammar; Latin Derivatives; Mottoes, Abbreviations and Quotations; Mythology; Pentathlon; Reading Comprehension; Roman History; and Vocabulary), Dramatic Interpretation, Latin Oratory, English Oratory, Sight Latin Reading
Certamen - Certamen is a game of fast recall of facts about classical civilizations and its peoples, languages, and cultures. The matches are supposed to be fun, competitive, and informative. There are two types of Certamen contests for CAJCL students at Convention: Open Certamen and Competitive Certamen (must qualify at Carcer)
Creative Arts Contests - Costume Contest and Essay
Graphic Arts Contests - Impromptu Art, Handicrafts, Posters, Charts, Maps, Illustrated Quotes, Cartoons, Greeting Cards, Photography, Drawing, and Painting
